Date of first appearance of coronal hole in EUV at east limb: 2025-05-19
Note: Characterized by an increase in solar wind speed from ~400 km/s at 2026-05-0T17:00Z to ~550 km/s at 2026-05-0T18:30Z. Temperature increases from ~100,000 K to ~300,000 K around the same time as the increase in speed. This signature is preceded by an amplification of magnetic field components, with Btotal increasing from 5nT to 11nT around 2026-05-30T11:00Z, alongside a decrease in density starting around 2026-05-30T09:00Z, where density drops from ~5 p/cc to <1 p/cc. This signature may be associated with a coronal hole high speed stream from one of two candidate coronal holes: centered near latitudes S25 and N32 which first crossed the central meridian on 2025-05-24 and 2026-05-26, respectively.
