Note:

Measurement based on best fit between SOHO LASCO C2/C3 and STEREO A COR2, with slight deflection from source location. This measurement focuses on the brightest leading edge of the CME. In later frames of SOHO LASCO C2 and STEREO A COR2, a fainter, possible shock front is visible ahead of this leading edge, which was also analyzed and determined to have a similar speed.
