Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2026-01-31T19:23Z ( SOHO: LASCO/C2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
SOHO: LASCO/C2
STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2
Activity ID: 2026-01-31T19:23:00-CME-001 (version 1)
Note Keyword:
GAP: Data gap
OFL: Outflowing material at the back of the CME
PRM: Prominence material (filamentary structures)
Source Signature Keyword:
FIL: Filament eruption
OFL: Moving/Opening field lines
Morphology Keyword:
O: Other
Note: CME first observed to the SW in STEREO A COR2 before a data gap begins at 2026-01-31T19:38Z preventing a good view of front development, then later to the W in SOHO LASCO C2/C3 and GOES CCOR-1, starting at 2026-01-31T22:12Z in LASCO C2. With an ongoing SOHO LASCO campaign reducing data quality and the STEREO A COR2 gap, no overlapping observations of the front are possible in real-time, but there is good confidence in this being the same front due to an observed far-sided source and no other on-disk sources at this time. The far-sided source is observed in STEREO A EUVI 304/195 starting around 2026-01-31T16:15Z on the west limb as viewed from STEREO A, putting it around W141.8 with the spacecraft currently at W51.8.

The List of CME Analysis already entered:
Event Type Catalog
Measurement TypeCME measurement type: Leading Edge (LE), Shock Front (SH), Right Hand Boundary (RHB), Left Hand Boundary (LHB), Black/White Boundary (BW), Prominence Core (COR), Disconnection Front (DIS), Trailing Edge (TE).
Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type

CME Analysis M2M_CATALOG LE false SWPC_CAT 142.0 4.0 576.0 C 17.0 2026-02-01T02:59Z 3D single spacecraft analysis with SOHO LASCO C3 and one LASCO C2 frame, using the observed source around W141.8 in STEREO A EUVI imagery as the basis, and the longitude could easily vary +-10 degrees. Analysis is quite speculative due to LASCO data quality with an ongoing campaign, STEREO A COR2 data gap, and LASCO C2/C3 and GOES CCOR-1 fronts not aligning well with the lemniscate tool. 1: Result 1 (2.0 AU)
