Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2025-07-05T11:36Z ( SOHO: LASCO/C2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2
GOES: CCOR-1
Activity ID: 2025-07-05T11:36:00-CME-001 (version 1)
Source Location: N40W80
Note Keyword:
Source Signature Keyword:
PEA: Post eruption arcade
FIL: Filament eruption
BR: Brightening
Morphology Keyword:
F: Flux Rope
Note: Extremely faint CME seen to the NW in SOHO LASCO C2/C3, STEREO A COR2, and GOES CCOR-1. Source is a second filament eruption located at latitude N40 and spanning from approximately W60 to W100. Liftoff can be seen starting at about 2025-07-05T10:45Z in both SDO AIA 304 and STEREO A EUVI 304, followed by extremely faint post-eruptive brightening. Liftoff can also be seen from the NW quadrant in GOES SUVI 304, but it appears that most of the filamentary material may have fallen back to the solar surface.

If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. Measurement using best fit between a few frames of SOHO LASCO C2 and STEREO A COR2 and consideration of source location observed in UV imagery. There is a high degree of uncertainty with this measurement due to the overall faintness and irregular shape of the CME in both SOHO LASCO and STEREO A COR2 imagery. There is confidence that this feature is indeed a CME, however, due to the presence of a faint flux rope feature discernable in both coronagraphs. This CME is not discernable in GOES CCOR-1 and is blocked by the pylon in SOHO LASCO C3. |
