Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2025-04-08T10:24Z ( SOHO: LASCO/C2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
Activity ID: 2025-04-08T10:24:00-CME-001 (version 1)
Note Keyword:
Faint: Faint event; may affect type assignment
FF: Event fails/disappears before exiting COR2
Source Signature Keyword:
OFL: Moving/Opening field lines
Morphology Keyword:
LS: Loop and Shock Candidate
Note: A super faint minor CME/outflow to the southwest, with mostly the left boundary seen in the coronagraph. It is only seen in SOHO LASCO C2 and in a few early timestamps of C3 because of its faintness and is not discernible in STEREO A COR2. Surprisingly, a clear source for this minor event can be clearly seen on/behind the southwest limb in SDO AIA 171 starting after 2025-04-08T06:42Z - a field line moving very slowly, over several hours, in southwestern direction.

If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type |

The CME is only seen in SOHO LASCO coronagraph and is not seen in STEREO A coronagraph (likely because of its faintness). The source is on or behind the southwest limb, so it is not clear what the longitude of this event is. Only plane-of-sky measurement is possible. |
