Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2025-04-05T04:00Z ( SOHO: LASCO/C2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2
Activity ID: 2025-04-05T04:00:00-CME-001 (version 3)
Note Keyword:
3P: 3-part structure CME
FOV: Front Bright front; may be evidence of pileup
HAL: Halo CME
OFL: Outflowing material at the back of the CME
OVR: Event partially overlaps with another CME
Source Signature Keyword:
PEA: Post eruption arcade
FIL: Filament eruption
OFL: Moving/Opening field lines
Morphology Keyword:
FS: Flux Rope and Shock Candidate
Note: A bright symmetrical partial halo seen to the east in both coronagraphs. Its source is a clear, wide opening of field lines behind the east limb seen ~2025-04-05T03:55Z in SDO AIA 171/193 and GOES SUVI 284, later followed by post-eruptive arcades gradually appearing from behind the east limb, as seen in SDO AIA 193/304/131. It overlaps with a slightly later CME that is seen as a more full halo in STEREO A.

The List of CME Analysis already entered:
Event Type Catalog
Measurement TypeCME measurement type: Leading Edge (LE), Shock Front (SH), Right Hand Boundary (RHB), Left Hand Boundary (LHB), Black/White Boundary (BW), Prominence Core (COR), Disconnection Front (DIS), Trailing Edge (TE).
Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type

Based on the coronal signatures, the source is behind the east limb, but close enough to the limb for the tops of the post-eruptive arcades to start peaking from behind the limb two hours after the eruption. 1: Result 1 (2.0 AU)
