Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2025-03-17T13:23Z ( STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2
SOHO: LASCO/C2
Activity ID: 2025-03-17T13:23:00-CME-001 (version 2)
Note Keyword:
Faint: Faint event; may affect type assignment
FF: Event fails/disappears before exiting COR2
Source Signature Keyword:
OFL: Moving/Opening field lines
Morphology Keyword:
O: Other
Note: Faint CME seen mostly in SOHO LASCO C2 and STEREO A COR2 but with front not well seen in C3. The source of this CME is unclear. While there are some opening field lines visible on/beyond the east limb starting around 2025-03-17T10:54Z best seen in SDO AIA 171 and SDO AIA 193, the fit with two coronagraphs indicates a lower longitude for the source.

Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type |

Very approximate analysis based on the best fit with two coronagraphs, C2 and COR2A imagery only. The CME is too faint in C3. No clear source has been found for this CME. |
