Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2025-03-05T04:48Z ( SOHO: LASCO/C2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
SOHO: LASCO/C2
STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2
Activity ID: 2025-03-05T04:48:00-CME-001 (version 1)
Source Location: S25E100
Note Keyword:
3P: 3-part structure CME
Faint: Faint event; may affect type assignment
FF: Event fails/disappears before exiting COR2
Source Signature Keyword:
PEA: Post eruption arcade
OFL: Moving/Opening field lines
Morphology Keyword:
F: Flux Rope
Note: Very faint flux rope CME first seen to the SE in SOHO LASCO C2, then seen as an extremely faint feature to the SE in STEREO A COR2. The source is likely a set of loops/flux rope seen lifting off from on or just beyond the southeast limb (loop spans approx. S20-S25 and E110-E90) starting at about 2025-03-05T03:34Z in SDO AIA 171 imagery. Post-eruptive arcades appear several hours later and seemingly from the same location starting at about 2025-03-05T06:36Z in SDO AIA 171.

Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type

CME Analysis M2M_CATALOG LE true SWPC_CAT -108.0 -35.0 705.0 C 25.0 2025-03-05T10:15Z Measurement using the location of the source seen in UV imagery of the Earth-facing disk and the best fit between SOHO LASCO C2 and STEREO A COR2. The full leading edge and a small interior flux rope are both faintly visible in C2, but this CME is only tentatively seen as an extremely faint feature for two frames in STEREO A COR2, so there is some uncertainty with this measurement. The best fit parameters match well with the approximated source location if taking into account some southern deflection, though, which increases confidence a bit. Leading edge is too diffuse to track in SOHO LASCO C3. 1: Result 1 (2.0 AU)
