Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2025-02-14T22:00Z ( SOHO: LASCO/C2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
Activity ID: 2025-02-14T22:00:00-CME-001 (version 1)
Source Location: S30E68
Note Keyword:
DFL: Likely deflection of the event within the FOV
GAP: Data gap
OVR: Event partially overlaps with another CME
PRM: Prominence material (filamentary structures)
Source Signature Keyword:
BR: Brightening
Morphology Keyword:
O: Other
Note: CME seen to the SE in SOHO LASCO C2/C3 only, STEREO COR2A beacon data entirely misses this event. Partially overlaps with CME 2025-02-14T21:48Z to the NE. The source for this CME is likely a broad area of the disk ~S30E68 which slowly dims and moves field lines to the SE starting around 2025-02-14T21:00Z, best observed in SDO AIA 171/193 and GOES SUVI 284. There is a concurrent, separate M1.8 flare from AR 13990 (S12E13) which peaked at 2025-02-14T20:57Z which was considered for a source here, but ruled out with lower confidence than the SE quadrant dimming mentioned prior.

Event Type Catalog
Measurement TypeCME measurement type: Leading Edge (LE), Shock Front (SH), Right Hand Boundary (RHB), Left Hand Boundary (LHB), Black/White Boundary (BW), Prominence Core (COR), Disconnection Front (DIS), Trailing Edge (TE).
Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type
