Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2025-01-25T03:36Z ( SOHO: LASCO/C2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
Activity ID: 2025-01-25T03:36:00-CME-001 (version 2)
Source Location: S10W64
Active Region Number: 13961
Note Keyword:
Source Signature Keyword:
OFL: Moving/Opening field lines
Morphology Keyword:
L: Loop
Note: Loop CME to the SW in SOHO LASCO C2/C3 and STEREO A COR2. This CME appears much more diffuse in STEREO A COR2 imagery. Source is likely a small eruption near Active Region 13961 and moving/opening field lines with southern deflection seen on the SW limb that appear to trace back to Active Region 13961.

The List of CME Analysis already entered:
Event Type Catalog
Measurement TypeCME measurement type: Leading Edge (LE), Shock Front (SH), Right Hand Boundary (RHB), Left Hand Boundary (LHB), Black/White Boundary (BW), Prominence Core (COR), Disconnection Front (DIS), Trailing Edge (TE).
Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type

The leading edge of this CME appears very diffuse in STEREO A COR2 imagery and becomes too diffuse to track after only a few frames. The leading edge remains visible for longer in SOHO LASCO, about halfway through the C3 field of view. 1: Result 1 (2.0 AU)
