Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2024-12-30T05:24Z ( SOHO: LASCO/C2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2
Activity ID: 2024-12-30T05:24:00-CME-001 (version 2)
Source Location: N13W46
Active Region Number: 13936
Note Keyword:
Faint: Faint event; may affect type assignment
FF: Event fails/disappears before exiting COR2
OFL: Outflowing material at the back of the CME
Source Signature Keyword:
FLR: Flare
PEA: Post eruption arcade
OFL: Moving/Opening field lines
DIM: Dimming
Morphology Keyword:
LS: Loop and Shock Candidate
Note: CME seen in the northwest in both coronagraph. It has a wider, likely shock, front in addition to a narrower bulk. Its likely source is the X1.5 flare from AR 3936 (N13W46) which was associated with the eruption seen in GOES SUVI 195/284 as rising post eruptive arcades and some dimming. There are also moving of field lines closer to the northwest limb seen in GOES SUVI 195.

Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type |

Analysis is based on the fit with two coronagraphs but also incorporates the location of the likely source of this CME, the flare. |
