SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2
Activity ID: 2024-12-20T10:24:00-CME-001 (version 1)
Source Location: S18E70
Active Region Number: 13932
Note Keyword:
GAP: Data gap
Source Signature Keyword:
FLR: Flare
OFL: Moving/Opening field lines
BR: Brightening
DIM: Dimming
Morphology Keyword:
U: Unknown
Note: CME visible to the east in SOHO LASCO C2/C3 and STEREO A COR2. In real time, the CME is not visible in SOHO LASCO C3 after a data gap from 2024-12-20T11:18Z to 2024-12-20T15:06Z. The source is likely an eruption from AR 3932 (approx, S18E70) in the southeast, associated with a C9.4-class flare starting at 2024-12-20T10:03Z. The flare and brightening are best seen in GOES SUVI 131, and the eruption is also seen with an ejecta of material and field line movement in GOES SUVI 195/284. The eruption is also visible on the SE limb in STEREO A EUV 195.
