Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2024-12-10T03:23Z ( SOHO: LASCO/C2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2
Activity ID: 2024-12-10T03:23:00-CME-001 (version 3)
Source Location: S18E77
Note Keyword:
COL: Possible collision with previous CME
DFL: Likely deflection of the event within the FOV
DPL: CME exhibits dimpled front
Faint: Faint event; may affect type assignment
FF: Event fails/disappears before exiting COR2
Source Signature Keyword:
FLR: Flare
FIL: Filament eruption
Morphology Keyword:
FS: Flux Rope and Shock Candidate
Note: Narrow CME associated with a thin, southward deflecting ejecta seen in the SSE in SUVI 304 around 02:52 and possibly associated with the C9.7 from AR 3922. This southward directed deflection of ejecta and CME is peculiar to today's events from Active Region 3922.

Event Type Catalog
Measurement TypeCME measurement type: Leading Edge (LE), Shock Front (SH), Right Hand Boundary (RHB), Left Hand Boundary (LHB), Black/White Boundary (BW), Prominence Core (COR), Disconnection Front (DIS), Trailing Edge (TE).
Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type

CME Analysis M2M_CATALOG LE true SWPC_CAT -54.0 -51.0 606.0 C 20.0 2024-12-10T08:52Z Analysis based on the best fit with 2 coronagraphs, somewhat contradicting the location of the flare (long ~-77 deg). Analysis is complicated by a large data gap in SOHO, as well as by the partial obscuring of this CME by SOHO C3 pylon. Longitude of the CME could be as high as -70 degrees (with a different fit with 2 coronagraphs in the tool) Not modeled Anna Chulaki on 2024-12-10T16:59Z
