Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2024-10-05T13:48Z ( SOHO: LASCO/C2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2
Activity ID: 2024-10-05T13:48:00-CME-001 (version 1)
Note Keyword:
DFL: Likely deflection of the event within the FOV
PRM: Prominence material (filamentary structures)
Source Signature Keyword:
FIL: Filament eruption
OFL: Moving/Opening field lines
Morphology Keyword:
O: Other
Note: CME seen to the SW in SOHO LASCO C2/C3, and in STEREO COR2A white light imagery. The source is a thin jet-like filament eruption from on or just beyond the SW limb, best observed erupting at 2024-10-05T11:52Z in GOES SUVI 304.

The List of CME Analysis already entered:
Event Type Catalog
Measurement TypeCME measurement type: Leading Edge (LE), Shock Front (SH), Right Hand Boundary (RHB), Left Hand Boundary (LHB), Black/White Boundary (BW), Prominence Core (COR), Disconnection Front (DIS), Trailing Edge (TE).
Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type

CME Analysis M2M_CATALOG LE true Plane-of-sky NONE -67.0 614.0 C 24.0 2024-10-05T20:18Z Plane-of-sky using only SOHO LASCO C3, as the CME deflects in C2 and cannot be traced, and STEREO COR2A campaign data is very poor running difference quality and unfortunately not usable to triangulate this source which may lie just barely beyond the limb. However, this POS analysis is likely close to the true source, which is directed well out of the ecliptic. Not modeled Elizabeth Juelfs on 2025-01-08T19:41Z
