Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2024-08-12T09:24Z ( SOHO: LASCO/C2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2
Activity ID: 2024-08-12T09:24:00-CME-001 (version 1)
Source Location: N35E75
Note Keyword:
DFL: Likely deflection of the event within the FOV
Faint: Faint event; may affect type assignment
OFL: Outflowing material at the back of the CME
Source Signature Keyword:
OFL: Moving/Opening field lines
BR: Brightening
Morphology Keyword:
O: Other
Note: Faint CME seen to the NE in all coronagraphs. Source is a region of the disk centered ~N35E75, with an eruption observed as brightening of the disk in SDO AIA 304 starting around 2024-08-12T08:42Z, and field line movement in SDO AIA 171/193/211 and GOES SUVI 284.

Measurement TypeCME measurement type: Leading Edge (LE), Shock Front (SH), Right Hand Boundary (RHB), Left Hand Boundary (LHB), Black/White Boundary (BW), Prominence Core (COR), Disconnection Front (DIS), Trailing Edge (TE).
Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type

CME Analysis M2M_CATALOG LE true SWPC_CAT -60.0 49.0 672.0 C 20.0 2024-08-12T14:46Z Triangulated fit between SOHO LASCO C2/C3 and STEREO COR2A using the source of N35E75 as a basis, finding some westward deflection in the fit. Half of the front fizzles away in early C2, so this measurement is of the more stable front in the eruption. Not modeled Tony Iampietro on 2024-08-12T19:00Z
