Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2024-07-17T19:00Z ( SOHO: LASCO/C2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2
Activity ID: 2024-07-17T19:00:00-CME-001 (version 1)
Source Location: S32E90
Note Keyword:
DFL: Likely deflection of the event within the FOV
DPL: CME exhibits dimpled front
FOV: Front Bright front; may be evidence of pileup
GAP: Data gap
Ha: Bright emission (likely H-alpha emission)
OFL: Outflowing material at the back of the CME
PRM: Prominence material (filamentary structures)
Source Signature Keyword:
PEA: Post eruption arcade
FIL: Filament eruption
OFL: Moving/Opening field lines
Morphology Keyword:
F: Flux Rope
Note: Filament eruption seen to the SE in all coronagraphs, but only a few frames of STEREO COR2A due to a data gap over this period from 2024-07-17T13:38Z-T23:38Z with a rogue image at T20:23Z that assisted with triangulation. The source is a filament sitting on or just inside the SE limb around S32E90, which began to erupt around 2024-07-17T17:00Z. The start of this eruption was observed in SDO AIA 131/171/193/211/304 but cut short due to a shutter maneuver, GOES SUVI 171/195/284/304 caught the entire, spectacular filament eruption.

The List of CME Analysis already entered:
Event Type Catalog
Measurement TypeCME measurement type: Leading Edge (LE), Shock Front (SH), Right Hand Boundary (RHB), Left Hand Boundary (LHB), Black/White Boundary (BW), Prominence Core (COR), Disconnection Front (DIS), Trailing Edge (TE).
Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type
