Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2024-07-12T06:12Z ( SOHO: LASCO/C2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2
Activity ID: 2024-07-12T06:12:00-CME-001 (version 2)
Note Keyword:
3P: 3-part structure CME
Source Signature Keyword:
FIL: Filament eruption
Morphology Keyword:
F: Flux Rope
Note: Faint 3-part CME clearly seen in SOHO LASCO C2/C3 and STEREO A COR2. Source is the eruption of a filament located just beyond the SE limb, with one endpoint visible at S30E90 and the rest of the filament extending beyond the SE limb, which later makes itself known as ejecta, twisting as it erupts and clearly from beyond the limb as seen in SDO AIA 304. Movement of material seen in SDO AIA 304 starts as early at 2024-07-12T04:11Z, with full liftoff seen at 2024-07-12T05:15Z. Ejection of material and moving field lines are seen in SDO AIA 131/171/193 around 2024-07-12T05:15Z. This eruption is also seen in STEREO A EUVI 304 and faintly in EUVI 193 starting at 2024-07-12T05:15Z.

Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type |

Filament spanned from E90 to likely several tens of degrees beyond the SE limb, as evidenced by UV imagery. Several attempts to measure were made, each time using longitudes that were progressively further beyond the E limb. Longitude E124 produced the best stereoscopic fit between coronagraphs. |
