Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2024-07-12T00:12Z ( SOHO: LASCO/C2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2
Activity ID: 2024-07-12T00:12:00-CME-001 (version 1)
Source Location: N10W80
Note Keyword:
SB: Streamer Blowout following CME
Source Signature Keyword:
OFL: Moving/Opening field lines
BR: Brightening
Morphology Keyword:
F: Flux Rope
Note: Bright CME seen to the NW in SOHO LASCO C2/C3 and STEREO A COR2. Well-defined leading edge with cavity containing material following. Source is a streamer blowout seen as opening field lines and possible slow-moving ejecta originating from about N10W90 in SDO AIA 131/171/193 at about 2024-07-11T21:12Z-23:58Z. Small eruption with ejecta seen in GOES SUVI 284 starting at 2024-07-11T14:13Z, but it slows down significantly before leaving the FOV and is possibly the triggering eruption for this streamer blowout. A broader opening of field lines can be seen in GOES SUVI 284 starting later at 2024-07-11T20:01Z. Small eruption with ejecta is also seen in SDO AIA 171/193, but possible relationship to streamer blowout is most clearly seen in GOES SUVI 284.

Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type |

Measured using best fit, which yielded a longitude closer to W80 than originally estimated W90. Smaller eruption noted in CME note was located at approx. W80. |
