Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2024-07-10T21:24Z ( SOHO: LASCO/C2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2
Activity ID: 2024-07-10T21:24:00-CME-001 (version 3)
Note Keyword:
GAP: Data gap
HAL: Halo CME
OFL: Outflowing material at the back of the CME
Source Signature Keyword:
OFL: Moving/Opening field lines
Morphology Keyword:
FS: Flux Rope and Shock Candidate
Note: Complex shaped asymmetrical halo first seen in SOHO to the northeast but then encompassing the whole sun. It has a clear, narrower bulk to the northeast and a more wider farsided shock. It looks like a full halo in STEREO A after a long data gap which ends at 2024-07-11T23:38Z, with only one COR2 image showing the whole CME front before the CME exits the field-of-view of the coronagraph. No source on the earth-facing side has been found in EUV imagery, so it is clearly a backsided event. One possible indication of the farsided eruption may be a slight fast movement of field lines in the northeast seen in GOES SUVI 284 at ~2024-07-10T21:25Z.

The List of CME Analysis already entered:
Event Type Catalog
Measurement TypeCME measurement type: Leading Edge (LE), Shock Front (SH), Right Hand Boundary (RHB), Left Hand Boundary (LHB), Black/White Boundary (BW), Prominence Core (COR), Disconnection Front (DIS), Trailing Edge (TE).
Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type
