Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2024-05-19T01:23Z ( STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
Activity ID: 2024-05-19T01:23:00-CME-001 (version 1)
Source Location: S40E10
Note Keyword:
DFL: Likely deflection of the event within the FOV
GAP: Data gap
Ha: Bright emission (likely H-alpha emission)
PRM: Prominence material (filamentary structures)
Source Signature Keyword:
DFLR: Double ribbon flare
FIL: Filament eruption
OFL: Moving/Opening field lines
DIM: Dimming
Morphology Keyword:
F: Flux Rope
Note: Filament eruption seen to the SSE in all coronagraphs. Source is a long filament on-disk, spanning approximately S65E40->S35W20 (centered ~S40E10) at 2024-05-18T19:00Z, slowly rising and eventually lifting off from the disk. The filament extends a bit further SE, but that portion beyond ~S65E40 remains on the disk. Best observed as the filament erupting in SDO AIA 171/193/304, also as field line movement and dimming in SDO AIA 171/193, with a double ribbon flare in SDO AIA 304. A weak post-eruptive arcade is observed after the eruption as well.

Event Type Catalog
Measurement TypeCME measurement type: Leading Edge (LE), Shock Front (SH), Right Hand Boundary (RHB), Left Hand Boundary (LHB), Black/White Boundary (BW), Prominence Core (COR), Disconnection Front (DIS), Trailing Edge (TE).
Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type
