Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2024-05-17T12:48Z ( SOHO: LASCO/C2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2
Activity ID: 2024-05-17T12:48:00-CME-001 (version 3)
Note Keyword:
DPL: CME exhibits dimpled front
FOV: Front Bright front; may be evidence of pileup
GAP: Data gap
HAL: Halo CME
OFL: Outflowing material at the back of the CME
OVR: Event partially overlaps with another CME
Source Signature Keyword:
OFL: Moving/Opening field lines
Morphology Keyword:
FS: Flux Rope and Shock Candidate
Note: Bright CME seen to the west. A backsided source is indicated for it by a massive and fast restructuring of magnetic field behind the west limb which is seen at 2024-05-17T12:38Z in SDO AIA 171 and less prominently in AIA 193. The source is likely the former Active Region 13664 which is now at the longitude of 135 degrees. The backsided flare is confirmed by the STIX instrument at the Solar Orbiter which saw a significant flare.

The List of CME Analysis already entered:
Event Type Catalog
Measurement TypeCME measurement type: Leading Edge (LE), Shock Front (SH), Right Hand Boundary (RHB), Left Hand Boundary (LHB), Black/White Boundary (BW), Prominence Core (COR), Disconnection Front (DIS), Trailing Edge (TE).
Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type
