Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2024-05-05T17:00Z ( SOHO: LASCO/C2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
Activity ID: 2024-05-05T17:00:00-CME-001 (version 4)
Note Keyword:
FOV: Front Bright front; may be evidence of pileup
GAP: Data gap
Ha: Bright emission (likely H-alpha emission)
HAL: Halo CME
Source Signature Keyword:
FIL: Filament eruption
OFL: Moving/Opening field lines
Morphology Keyword:
FS: Flux Rope and Shock Candidate
Note: Bright CME with H-alpha emissions, where the source is a significant filament eruption behind the northwest limb, best seen in GOES SUVI 304 starting at 2024-05-05T16:32Z. We can also see the ejecta faintly behind the limb in AIA 304 and 171. There is also an opening of field lines seen in AIA 193 at the same time. We are not able to see any post-eruptive arcades on the limb, so this CME is likely far behind the limb. The CME is completely covered by the evening data gap in STEREO A imagery.

Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type |

POS measurement of this CME is the only analysis available since the CME is fully covered by a data gap in STA and the source is behind the limb (possibly far behind the limb). |
