Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2024-04-10T06:36Z ( SOHO: LASCO/C2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
Activity ID: 2024-04-10T06:36:00-CME-001 (version 1)
Note Keyword:
PRM: Prominence material (filamentary structures)
Source Signature Keyword:
FIL: Filament eruption
OFL: Moving/Opening field lines
Morphology Keyword:
O: Other
Note: Fast, puff-like CME to the SE seen in all coronagraphs. Source is on the far-side of the E limb, observed best as a thin filament eruption in SDO AIA 304 peeking around the limb at 2024-04-10T06:21Z and also as field line movement in SDO AIA 171/193 and GOES SUVI 284. The longitude range was estimated using triangulation between SOHO LASCO C2/C3 and STEREO COR2A coronagraphs in swpc_cat, finding a good source range around E100 with very little wiggle room, and knowing the potential location of old, previously very active AR 3615 due to return to the E limb in a few days.

Measurement TypeCME measurement type: Leading Edge (LE), Shock Front (SH), Right Hand Boundary (RHB), Left Hand Boundary (LHB), Black/White Boundary (BW), Prominence Core (COR), Disconnection Front (DIS), Trailing Edge (TE).
Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, earlier measurements are marked as false when new or more accurate measurements are made. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME

Also determined to be far-sided by knowing the potential location of old, very active AR 3615 due to return to the E limb in a few days. Longitude range very close to E100. 1: Result 1 (2.0 AU)
2: Result 2 (5.5 AU)
