Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2024-02-12T22:18Z ( SOHO: LASCO/C2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
Activity ID: 2024-02-12T22:18:00-CME-001 (version 3)
Note Keyword:
HAL: Halo CME
OFL: Outflowing material at the back of the CME
Source Signature Keyword:
PEA: Post eruption arcade
FIL: Filament eruption
OFL: Moving/Opening field lines
Morphology Keyword:
FS: Flux Rope and Shock Candidate
Note: The start of this CME is covered by gap in SOHO LASCO C3 and it is fully covered by gaps in SOHO LASCO C2 and STEREO A COR2. The source of this CME is an eruption behind the northeast limb starting at 2024-02-12T19:13Z and characterized by the opening of field lines, narrow ejecta (in SDO AIA 304) and the subsequent slowly appearing (peeking from behind limb) post-eruptive arcades seen in SDO AIA 171/193/304. This CME is associated with a long-duration occulted M2.6 class flare, likely associated with the post eruptive arcades peaking from behind the rim.

Event Type Catalog
Measurement TypeCME measurement type: Leading Edge (LE), Shock Front (SH), Right Hand Boundary (RHB), Left Hand Boundary (LHB), Black/White Boundary (BW), Prominence Core (COR), Disconnection Front (DIS), Trailing Edge (TE).
Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type
