Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2023-08-29T17:36Z ( SOHO: LASCO/C2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
Activity ID: 2023-08-29T17:36:00-CME-001 (version 4)
Note Keyword:
Faint: Faint event; may affect type assignment
FF: Event fails/disappears before exiting COR2
GAP: Data gap
OVR: Event partially overlaps with another CME
Source Signature Keyword:
FIL: Filament eruption
OFL: Moving/Opening field lines
Morphology Keyword:
L: Loop
LS: Loop and Shock Candidate
Note: Faint CME with bulk and fainter shock NW in SOHO C2/C3. There is an ambiguity about the source but the most likely potential source seem to be the fast narrow filament eruption seen on/behind the NW limb in GOES SUVI 304 and AIA 304/171 after 2023-08-29T18:30Z (although this eruption could the source of another, 2023-08-29T19:36Z, CME). Alternatively, the source for this CME could be AR3413 (N10W35) with a faint intermittently developing dimming and slowly appearing high rising post-eruptive arcades seen around this AR all afternoon (e.g., in AIA 193).

Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type
