Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2023-05-12T05:29Z ( SOHO: LASCO/C2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2
Activity ID: 2023-05-12T05:29:00-CME-001 (version 1)
Source Location: S35W20
Note Keyword:
DPL: CME exhibits dimpled front
Faint: Faint event; may affect type assignment
FF: Event fails/disappears before exiting COR2
Source Signature Keyword:
PEA: Post eruption arcade
FIL: Filament eruption
DIM: Dimming
Morphology Keyword:
OS: Other and Shock Candidate
Note: Narrow and very faint CME SW in SOHO LASCO C2/C3, seen mostly in STEREO ACOR2 difference imagery (not in white light one), with the likely source a significant filament eruption (or two parallel filaments erupting) seen in the SW in SDO AIA 304/193 starting at 2023-05-12T04:55Z roughly centered at ~S35W20.

The List of CME Analysis already entered:
Event Type Catalog
Measurement TypeCME measurement type: Leading Edge (LE), Shock Front (SH), Right Hand Boundary (RHB), Left Hand Boundary (LHB), Black/White Boundary (BW), Prominence Core (COR), Disconnection Front (DIS), Trailing Edge (TE).
Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type

CME Analysis M2M_CATALOG SH false SWPC_CAT 20.0 -35.0 1015.0 O 25.0 2023-05-12T08:33Z Analysis is based on what seems to be the center of the erupting filament (S35W20) and is therefore uncertain. These parameters yield a good fit in swpc_cat, but because of the faintness of the front there can still be a range of longitudes (from 20 to 30 deg) producing a good fit. 1: Result 1 (2.0 AU)
